Current Narrative:
Monitor Advocate:
The State Monitor Advocate wrote and commented on the four year Agricultural Outreach Plan. The State Monitor Advocate has reviewed and commented on the modifications for the Workforce Innovation and opportunity Act (WIOA) State Plan for Program Years 2022 and 2023
Collaboration Methods:
Colorado uses a variety of methods to collaborate with the agencies who serve our MSFW population. We use monthly coalition meetings, joint outreach with agencies such as Rocky Mountain SER (NFJP 167), Migrant Education, Health, and other agencies. Our outreach workers serve either as an officer or active member in the local coalitions. The State Monitor Advocate (SMA) serves as the Chair of the Colorado Migrant and Rural Coalition. Years ago we organized and sponsored a yearly collaboration conference called The Colorado Agriculture and Labor Summit. This innovative partnership also collaborates with our Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association. We treat our growers as customers and their feedback is invaluable. To help us create a seamless process for our MSFW’s, we have MOU’s in place with our 167 provider, Rocky Mountain SER and Migrant education. This allows for data sharing and joint enrollments. Our SMA routinely speaks at training conferences and staff meetings for our partner agencies. Topics covered on a regular basis include but are not limited to the complaint system and an overview of the services provided by our local American Job Centers. We are constantly looking for new ways and opportunities to collaborate in order to provide the best services to our MSFW population.
