The goals and priorities were developed to improve the operation and effectiveness of the VR program, especially with regard to improving employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities, increasing the provision of pre-employment transition services to youth, building internal agency capacity and collaboration with WIOA partner programs, and increasing business engagement. In December, 2019 the Division received the draft report from the 2018 Monitoring site visit during July 30-August 1. This information was reviewed by the State Rehabilitation Council and agency leadership and the results of the report were referenced when updated goals and priorities were developed in addition to a corrective action plan addressing areas requiring additional attention.
