Current Narrative:

Ohio’s area agencies on aging (AAAs) serve as a resource for Ohio’s SCSEP providers, referring clients that have both an economic and social need for SCSEP. The 12 AAAs across the State have current partnerships that align with the goals of SCSEP. Some also serve as host agencies for the program. The Areas Agencies on Aging, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, OhioMeansJobs centers and others who serve individuals with social needs will continue to serve as referral sources for the SCSEP program.

For PY20, in the 30 counties that are part of the ODA SCSEP grant, 256 participants were receiving public assistance.  This is 79% of program participants for that program year.  It is anticipated that this number will grow, as COVID era assistance programs expanded.
