e. 5. C. Marketing the Agricultural Recruitment System for U.S. Workers (ARS) to agricultural employers and how it intends to improve such publicity.
Current Narrative:
The VDOL intends to more closely coordinate promotion of the Agricultural Recruitment System with the Agency of Agriculture, Food, and Markets (AAFM). A Communication and Outreach Coordinator position was recently added to the Workforce Development Division. This position will develop outreach and promotion plans for all programs within the division, including for the MSFW, foreign labor certification, and agricultural recruitment system. At a minimum, we plan to update and improve our web presence by updating our website to include relevant, timeline, plain language information. We will coordinate promotional events with the AAFM.
