Current Narrative:
There are currently three non-profit agencies certified on the Set-Aside Services list, providing services to the State such as janitorial, marketing, document destruction, records management, food services, and landscaping. To qualify, 75% of the non-profit’s employees performing the work of the contract must be individuals with severe disabilities, and a minimum of 20% of those employees are individuals with developmental disabilities. The set aside program is managed by the Department of Human Services and the State Purchasing & Contracts Office. Each of the qualifying non-profit agencies provides purchased vocational rehabilitation services to eligible individuals, however employment under these contracts is not considered competitive integrated employment and DVR has no formal agreements in place with these entities related to these contracts.
