Current Narrative:

Staff responsible for the provision of services to students with disabilities for pre-employment transition services and transition services are oriented to the expectations of support and communication to students and families, fostering positive collaboration with education, and effective methods of outreach.  This guidance is provided through our state interagency agreement with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and our interagency agreement with Washington State School for the Blind, which inform who, what and how we provide services to students with disabilities and coordination efforts with educators through the Individual Education Plan team. In addition, the agency has procedures for transition and pre-employment transition services, that provide guidance for staff on agency standards of personnel development and training needed to effectively serve students and families.
