Current Narrative:

Louisiana will provide continuous improvement in the level of performance for SCSEP participants’ entry into unsubsidized employment utilizing the following strategies:

  • Provide participants with personalized guidance to help them identify their career goals, strengths and areas of improvement.
  • Continual assistance to participants with job searching and application processes. Simply linking the participant with potential employers and providing interview preparation tools.
  • Connecting participants with training and development programs that will enhance technical, soft, and transferable skills relevant to their desired employment goal.  
  • Linking participants with mentors and industry professionals to gain insights and build a professional network that could lead to a potential employment opportunity.
  • Establish a vigorous system to monitor participants' progress, identifying challenges, and making necessary adjustments to support their successful entry into unsubsidized employment.
