Current Narrative:
Non-cash incentives are presented in the form of certificates, additional training opportunities and may include national Veteran conferences. These are documented in their employee performance appraisals tri-annually. The cost may range from $10 to $1,200 depending on the award and related travel expenses.
According to the West Virginia Attorney General's opinion dated Oct 01, 2013, performance incentives are prohibited in Article VI, Section 38 of the West Virginia Constitution and in West Virginia State Code 12-3-13. Therefore, WorkForce West Virginia will not expend the one percent Incentive Award allocation.
