p. 2. B. Describe the factors that impeded the achievement of the goals and priorities
Current Narrative:
DVR has strong collaboration with system partners to meet the supported employment needs of individuals with the most significant disabilities. COVID-19 has had a significant impact on these systems overall. Each agency involved in providing supported employment services had to adjust business practices to determine how to provide services remotely, or provide services safely in person when that option became possible. Many industries that were hardest hit by pandemic restrictions were those that have historically provided job opportunities to individuals with the most significant disabilities. Further, some individuals simply chose to suspend their participation in the workforce until they felt more comfortable engaging in work activities.
