b. 7. Describe the State’s formal strategy to ensure that WIOA and TAA co-enrolled participants receive necessary funded benefits and services. Trade Act Sec. 239(f), Sec. 235, 20 CFR 618.816(c)
Current Narrative:
The CDLE workforce programs monitoring team monitors TAA case files on a regular basis to ensure that TAA policies are being followed, including that all participants are co-enrolled. On-demand reports from the state’s workforce data system are available to state and local staff to allow tracking of enrollments, services, and performance outcomes, as well as the percent of co-enrolled TAA participants. The TAA state coordinator reviews these reports on a monthly basis to ensure that each local area is following policies and procedures, providing needed services, and meeting performance standards. The most recent co-enrollment report indicated a 100% co-enrollment rate. The State TAA Unit also provides regularly scheduled technical assistance sessions to underscore program service requirements, benefits availability and to answer questions from the service providers. The State TAA Unit staff is responsible for TAA training and other services contracts, and the oversight of TRA and other benefits.
